The LEON core is a SPARC* compatible integer unit developed for future space
missions. It has been implemented as a highly configurable, synthesisable VHDL
model. Gaisler Research has developed the 32-bit high-performance LEON processor
core, which is available under the GNU open-source license. The development of the
processor is supported by the European Space Agency.

- The Freedom CPU Project is an open work of collaboration in the world of microelectronics.
Our goal is to create and distribute the source code of a high performance microprocessor core
under a copyleft license. It's the first purely SIMD superpipelined RISC CPU
core that handles 64-bit data and wider, so it can become a short vector processor in the future.

- Because something comparable was not readily and freely availible, I implemented the Blowfish
encryption algorithm in synthesizable VHDL. My implementation is certainly not the fastest possible
implementation, and it is also not the smallest.

- The LoonBoard Unified Bootloader, or lub, is an attempt to create one
bootloader that is able to load both FPGA files and AVR hex files. The result surpassed
all expectations and created a very fast and small bootloader.

- CESYS developed an FPGA evaluation board named X2S_USB. The FPGA is configured
via the USB bus and the onboard Cypress EZ-USB micro controller.Since the delivered software is
only for Windows, which I don't have on my computer, I developed a Linux download software.
It is currently able to download .rbt and .exo files into the FPGA. The program is distributed under
the terms of the GNU General Public Licence (GPL) Version 2.

- This projects original intention was to make an updated version of Bodo
Wenzels ZX97 ZX81 clone. This has been done, but not according to the original plan
which was to use a real Z80, separate memory chips and the ZX97 ULA replacement.
Instead the entire ZX81 was implemented in one FPGA! Since then three more systems have also
been implemented.
